Off to Rexburg!
These last few days have been way stressful. We've been packing a
lot, with tons of help from Heather and Daniel I think we might
actually finish in time. Dean's last day of work was last Monday. This
was his last day in the Army after over nine years. He has signed up to
be in the Army reserves, and the plan was to go to school and then
rejoin the army as an officer... but plans change... daily it seems.
Dean got an email from the Green River WY police department the other day, and since then he has been thinking more and more that maybe he'll just go work for them instead of go up to BYU-I. Well, considering that moving day is in two days and tomorrow we're packing up the truck, we will still be going up to Rexburg, but we might only be there for six months. I guess it takes a lot of time for the police department to process applications, and do physical tests, and psychological analysis, and interviews etc. And Dean has to take a spelling test before all that... the spelling test might be the hardest part.
So after thinking that we finally knew where we were going and what we were going to be doing and just being relieved that the near future wasn't completely unknown anymore... we are once again completely up in the air. Who knows where we'll be six months from now. I hate all this uncertainty.
I'm also a little disappointed because I was getting really excited that I would be able to take a couple of classes too. Maybe I'll just go to the community college over there in Wyoming. I also feel like we're uprooting DJ from everything way too often. Six months here and six months there. It wasn't so bad when he was little, but he's reaching a point now where he's finally making friends and I think he's really going to miss Natalie and Ammon. If we're in Rexburg for six months and then we're off to Wyoming I feel bad about doing that to him again.
Well anyways, we're unplugging the computer tomorrow morning, which our phone is connected to, to I can't get any phone calls or emails for the next few days. So goodbye world! ... I guess there's always the cell phone, and Dean's I-Pad... I guess I won't be completely cut off. :)
