Time flies
The last I wrote, we were planning for an August wedding, and I was
worrying about a trivial thing such as invitation pictures. Well, much
has happened since then. Heather helped with the invitations and they
turned out Great. We decided to move up the wedding to July 12th,
because I wanted my family to be there. So, on July 12th Dean and I were
married in the Timpanogus temple, and all but three of my siblings were
there. The other three were waiting outside to greet us. We didn't get
around to having the reception until August, so we drove back to Utah
where we had the reception at my parents' house. It was all very low
budget, but I don't think Dean nor I really cared very much. For the
first month of our marriage, we lived at my sister Heather's house. That
was a little awkward, but I am grateful for their hospitality. I was
also very grateful to get out of there. We moved onto Fort Carson where
we live in the military housing. I am loving having my own house, and I
am loving being married.
I got to return to Utah again around Halloween time to attend my sister Amber's wedding. This was the first of my siblings' weddings that I was actually able to attend, so it was something pretty special. That was the first time since Dean and I met that we had been apart for over 24 hours, so it was fairly difficult. A couple of weeks ago, Dean went to Atlanta Georgia for a training thing. I guess this is good practice for when he is gone from me for a year, but it was still difficult. I spent that week with Heather and Tejay. Heather was about 9 months pregnant at the time, so we were all fully expecting her to have her baby while I was there. Little Ammon though was a bit nervous I guess, and didn't come until over a week later, just two days before Thanksgiving. My mom had come to help Heather out with her baby, and then Dad, Heidi, and Daniel came to join us for Thanksgiving. We all went to MaeLyn's house, grateful that Heather was in a state to join us. It was great having so many of the family together. Mom then went to Jarom's house awaiting the arrival of his son.
Not much else is going on. I spend my days doing menial things. I am missing school a lot. I've been trying to get a job but haven't for a number of different reasons. So now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with my time. It is a daily struggle not to succumb to the temptation to sit around and be lazy. Some days I win the battle, others like today, I lose.
